Betty Jane Curtis Bloss' Obituary
Bloss, Betty Jane Curtis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away the evening of July 15, 2016 just shy of her 92nd birthday. Betty was born on August 18, 1924 in Rock Island, IL to Mildred and Merrill Curtis. Her family moved to Dade City when she was 3 years old where she lived until after graduating from Pasco High School. Betty met the love of her life, William, during WWII in Bradenton, FL where she worked at Western Union. They married in 1946 in Dade City and travelled to New York State where they lived until moving back to Florida in 1955. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Merrill Curtis; her brother, Richard Curtis; her son-in-law, James Bock and her husband of 51 years, William Bloss. She leave behind her daughters, Sandra Bock (Cliff Williams) of Tampa, Pamela (Richard) Zawacki of St. Petersburg and son, Richard Bloss of St. Petersburg; grandchildren, Chad Duval of St. Petersburg, Kenneth Bock of Port Orchard, WA, Kelly Bock of Tampa and Nicole (Peter) Pasek of Seminole; two great grand-daughters, Penelope and Lorelei Pasek.
