A kinder and more caring person I've never known. It's sad to know the last trip I had to Tampa before Covid to visit my long-time friends Charles and Betty would be my last to see Betty's smiling face at home our out at one of our favorite places to eat. My visits often were just lunch or dinner and some time at their place, but we always enjoyed the time, meal and some laughs.
I've known Charles and Betty nearly 36 years; Charles hired me to work on his team at Western Reserve Life in 1986. I moved on to other teams, companies and careers, but we've kept our friendship through the years.
I used to joke with Charles that Betty was the "nice one"!! Of course, if you know Charles well too, he's a pretty caring person himself. Betty, rest well, you're at peace now. I know you're sending love and strength to your loving family you've left behind temporarily in this world. Let them know it's ok and that you're still with them, just in a different way. You've shown them what love and care is, and they've learned well. God bless.
Your friend, Chris
Charles, "Hoping your treasured memories bring you some comfort day by day." My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. --Dorine Mouchka
Betty was a very special friend and classmate! We graduated the same year and vowed to always to stay friends and in touch. We did for a long time staying in touch only at Christmas and when we would have a high school reunion.
Then in 2014 my son and daughter-in-law moved to Riverveiw. And my granddaughter was born.
It dawned on me then that Betty lived in Riverview!! As it turned out she only lived about 3 miles away.
What a coincidence!! Anyway I called Betty when I was there visiting and we got together many times after that. Betty and Charles came to my granddaughters 1st birthday party. What a special day that was. And of course Betty came baring gifts!! She was such a special lady. So kind and giving!!
I am sad and still in disbelief.
I was so blessed to have known this special lady!!
My heart is breaking for Charles and her family!!Praying God will give them the strength they need to get through the difficult days ahead!
She was so very proud of her John, her Nicki and Penny!!
She would send me lots of pictures of those grands. They were her pride and joy!!
Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!💜💜🙏🙏
Betty was such a special friend to me…more like a sister. Our friendship began because we both worked for Allstate Insurance. From that moment when we met, our lives were entwined. Our boys were born close in age, we both left Allstate after our sons were born so we could raise our “special gifts from God”. Our boys became friends because we had many play dates and lunches together. This all made for a special bond between us. We kept in contact with a special group of girls from Allstate Insurance Company and we all had many dinners and fun times together. After Betty moved to Riverview we didn’t get together as much, but always kept in contact by phone and thank goodness by Facebook. (The only reason I like FB is because of “the keeping in contact and sharing pictures”).
Betty loved her family and friends. She had a heart of Gold. Yes, Betty loved Charles and her son, John with all her heart and soul, BUT the LOVE for her Grandchildren, Nicky and Penny, was indescribable.
I will miss my friend, Betty, greatly, but to know she is now whole and not in any pain and she is with our Heavenly Father and one day we will get to meet again in Heaven.
For now Betty, you will be missed immensely, but you will be looking down on Charles, John, Nicky & Penny and all the rest of your family and friends and you will be their Guardian Angel. Love you my friend💜
I was so blessed to have Betty as a cousin. Her dad and my mom were brother and sister. I always loved going to their house to play with all the cousins, there were no toys, just trees and the creek! My Mom and Dad absolutely adored their nieces and nephews. Mom often spoke of Betty and her handsome husband who lived in Florida. As we grew older, our main contact was by Christmas Cards. When Facebook came into the picture we loved to chat and share stories and photos of our family. Betty was so proud of John and his children. My heart is breaking for the family here on Earth, and I am sending love,
prayers and asking for peace and comfort for all the family. But, I am rejoicing that she has reunited with all the family and friends waiting for her in heaven! Rest In Peace Betty, my sweet cousin, I will see you one glad morning! ❤️😢💔
I was only around six years old the first time Charles brought Betty to our house. I remember thinking how pretty she was and so nice! As I grew older and came to know and love Betty, my first impression just grew stronger. My heart goes out to Charles, John, and the rest of the family. May they find peace and comfort from the prayers and love surrounding them.
