Bessie Marie Mccracken's Obituary
McCracken, Bessie Z., 80 of St. Petersburg died at her residence Tuesday, March 20, 2007 under the care of Hospice. Born in New Hampton, Iowa, she moved here in1953 from Waterloo, Iowa. She was a 1944 graduate from New Hampton High School and was a secretary for the John Deere Tractor Company. She attended St. Petersburg Junior College and many business and professional schools. She retired 1987 from GTE after thirty-four years of service as an executive secretary. She was a licensed real estate associate with Cooke Realty. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, a lifetime member of IPTA Pioneer Telephone and an active member of ABWA Business Women's Association and received the 1965 secretary of the year award. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald; three daughters, Christine Deal, Linda Gomez and Natalie Goff; a brother, Robert L. Zipse and three grand children, all of St. Petersburg.
