Mr. Bernd O. Engert's Obituary
Engert, Bernd O.,"Bernie", 71, of Tierra Verde died October 5, 2009 at his home, with his family at his side. Bernie immigrated to the United States in 1963 from his native Germany with only $20 to his name. He started his career with United Air Lines in 1965 and retired as a 747 Captain from the airline. In 2000 Bernie joined Netjets because of his love of flying.. He is survived by three sons, Oliver, Edric and Bradley; brother Wolfgang; sister, Helga Thomas and grandson Peter Engert. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Music Department at St. Petersburg High School.
