Mrs. Barbara J Farrell's Obituary
Barbara Jeannette Farrell, 77, of St. Petersburg was promoted to glory the morning of February 17th, 2016. She dedicated her life to helping others with the Salvation Army, where she ministered to people all over the country.
She leaves behind her husband and best friend, James, along with a loving family.

Funeral Service will be held at the Salvation Army Worship Center 3800 9th Avenue North in St. Petersburg on Monday Feb 22nd at 10:30am.
She will be laid to rest in the Salvation Army's garden at Memorial Park Cemetery on Tuesday Feb 23rd at 10:30am.
Everyone is invited to attend the funeral mass and interment to show your support to Barbara's family and celebrate her wonderful life of service to her fellow citizens and God.
"Barbara Jeannette Farrell was promoted to glory Wednesday, February 17th in St. Petersburg. A native of Kentucky, Barbara married her college sweetheart, James “Jimmy” Farrell in 1959, and after nearly 15 years of teaching throughout Kentucky, together they joined the ministry of The Salvation Army. With appointments throughout the southern United States, the Farrells retired to Ocala, FL in 1999.
Born on August 7, 1938, Barbara is survived by husband of 57 years, Jim Farrell, brother Keith Blevins (Audrey Jo), three sons Tim Farrell (Eileen), Chris Farrell (Heidi), and Nathan Farrell (Randi-lyn), eight grandchildren Tim Farrell (Bethany), Lauren Stovall (Gabe), Ryan Farrell, Zac Collins, Amanda Collins, Morgan Farrell, Chase Farrell and Charlie Farrell and four great-grandchildren Dylan, Tyler, Jacob and Eleanor.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 10:30am at The Salvation Army 3800 9th Ave N. St. Petersburg, FL 33713. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Salvation Army’s Sallie House (a home for children, a program established by Jim and Barbara) may be sent to the address above.
