Barbara L. Bobbitt's Obituary
Barbara L. Bobbitt of St Petersburg, Florida passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in St Anthony’s Hospital. She was 83.
Born May 7, 1936 in Middlesboro, Kentucky; she was the beloved daughter of the late William Earl and Elsie Elizabeth Cobb. She was devoted to her faith and was a member of the Clearview Baptist Church, St Petersburg, Florida. Throughout her life she was devoted to caring for others and graciously served 30+ years as a personal caregiver/companion for a family in St Petersburg.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Velma Jean Carnes and a brother, Vernon Claude Cobb. Barbara is survived by her two loving daughters; Camilla Eddins and Rebecca Jansen. She is the dear sister of Joyce Ann Jeffers, Myrtle Sue Meadows and Homer Clayton Cobb. She is also the beloved grandmother of five grandchildren; Rachael Johnston (Matthew), Glenn Eddins, Gregory Eddins, Sarah Jansen Potter (Derek) and Kurt E. Jansen (Sarah Kay). Barbara also leaves behind four loving great grandchildren; Anastasia, Francesca, Isabella and Liam.
Visitation will be 10am - 12pm with funeral services at 12pm Friday, February 7, 2020 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home 5750 49th Street North, St Petersburg, Florida 33709. Immediately following the service, friends and family will process to Memorial Park Cemetery where she will be laid to rest in the Garden of Remembrance. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Clearview Baptist Church 4310 38th Ave N, St Petersburg, FL 33713.
