Augustine H Hibbard's Obituary
Harold was born in Everett, Massachusetts on May 11, 1921. He served in the US Navy during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945 after which he worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers until his retirement. Harold married the love of his life, Marjorie R. Hibbard (nee Bourque) in 1946. They raised their family in Billerica, MA. He was a Little League Baseball coach, an avid golfer, a voracious reader, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox and NE Patriots. He and his wife retired to St Petersburg, Florida in 1985 where he was a member of the Five Towns HOA Board for many years.
Mr. Hibbard is predeceased by his wife, Marjorie and seven brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children, Kenneth Hibbard and his wife Nora of Chapel Hill, NC, Richard Hibbard and his wife Donna of Bradenton, FL, Kevin Hibbard and his wife Maureen of Naples, FL, and Susan MacGrath of Parrish, FL, his sisters Dorothy Williams of Vero Beach, FL and Joanne Merola of Andover, MA, his brother Hugh Hibbard of Revere, MA, as well as nine grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Their will be a memorial service on Thursday, October 17, 2019. Visitation will begin at 10am at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (www.holycrossrcc.com ) followed by a Mass at 11am. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
