Mr. Aston L. Silvera's Obituary
Aston L. Silvera of Clearwater, FL passed away March 2, 2015. Aston was born May 6, 1939 in Swift River, Jamaica, where he was raised and lived into his mid 20s.
Aston married Marcia, whom he met while working on a cruise ship, in 1965 in Kingston, Jamaica. Aston and Marcia moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1967. There he began his construction career and became a member of Lathers Local 561. In 1985, Aston and Marcia started Cornerstone Lathing.
Aston was an avid fisherman. He could often be found on weekend nights catching Snook and even Goliath Grouper on the Tierra Verde Bridge.
Aston is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marcia; daughter Terri; daughter Carol; son Scott; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; as well as brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm Friday, March 6, at the Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5750 49th Street N; St. Petersburg, FL 33709.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Aston’s memory to Positive Impact Worldwide Ministries or Suncoast Hospice.
A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, Aston will be deeply missed. His dedication to his family and friends and strong work ethic will live on in our hearts and memories.
