Mr. Anthony Amendola Sr.'s Obituary
Anthony Amendola, Sr. of St. Petersburg Florida and originally of West Haven, Connecticut, passed away Thursday, May 31st, 2018. He was 97.
Anthony was born April 30th, 1921, in West Haven Connecticut, the beloved son of the late Andrew and Philomena Amendola. He was a longtime truck driver and traveled across the country throughout his career, as well as being involved with Major League Baseball, creating prototype bats for players’ specifications. He was a proud Army veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion Post #125, and a lifetime member of 75+ years of the Annawon Lodge #115, A.F. and A.M. of West Haven, Connecticut.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Andrew, Bartholomew, and James, and sisters Carmelina and Antoinette.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Wilette M. Amendola, son Anthony Jr., three stepchildren Joseph, Corrine, and Raymond. He is also survived by grandchildren Michael and Danielle, and step grandsons Joseph III and Corey.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5750 49th St. N, St. Petersburg FL 33709 is serving the family.
