Anna Elizabeth Gibson Cartwright, age 99, went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2026, in Seminole, Florida. Born on May 29, 1926, in Grenloch, New Jersey. Anna grew up in Blackwood, where her gentle spirit and deep sense of faith first took root. In 1972, Anna moved to Florida, beginning a new chapter filled with sunshine, family, and God’s everyday blessings. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Frank Cartwright, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, strength, and unwavering faith.
A dedicated housewife and mother, Anna poured her heart into her family with the kind of love that reflected her belief in compassion, patience, and service to others. She is survived by her children Sandra Esher and her husband Dale Esher, and Frank Cartwright and his wife Sharon Cartwright. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Pino; Cheryl’s husband, Mike Pino, continues to be a deeply cherished part of the family. Anna’s legacy lives on through her grandchildren—Michael Pino, Jr., Sherri Johnson and her husband Eric Johnson, and Lynnette Wood and her husband James Wood and through her great-grandchildren: Brooke Diaz, Drew Johnson, Faith Wood, and Rebecca Wood. She was also blessed with a great-great-grandchild, Cecelia Diaz, completing five beautiful generations touched by her love, kindness, and faith.
Anna will be remembered for her warm heart, her gentle presence, and the way she uplifted those around her. Her quiet strength, loving guidance, and spiritual grace will continue to shine in the lives of all who knew her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited in Heaven with her husband and daughter, embraced by God’s everlasting peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice, in honor of Anna’s giving spirit.
