Anna "Betty" Elizabeth Overcash (Sellers-Myers)'s Obituary
Anna “Betty” Elizabeth Overcash (Sellers-Myers) was born to Ray and Ruby Lee Overcash. She gained her angel wings on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Ted and Diane Brandley’s Hospice House in Summerfield, Florida, after a 30 + year battle with lupus. Unfortunately, after all the years of taking medications to help with her lupus, it destroyed her kidneys, then her lungs were failing (go figure she never even smoked), then about 6 months ago her heart started not working right at all. She definitely left us with some unexplained medical conditions this past year. We were not expecting to lose you so quickly.
Betty was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. She worked for many years in the cosmetology field at Sally Beauty Company. Then she worked as a private caregiver before retiring for good in 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ray Walter and Ruby Lee Overcash, half brothers Ray Jr. and Richard Overcash, her aunts Ruby and Rosemary Ninx.
Betty is survived by her daughter Crystal Dawn Sellers; granddaughter Madison-Rae Elizabeth Sellers; son-in-law Marty Nevitt; her constant and loving companion for the past 25 years Steven Earl Young; her sister Connie McConnell; brother-in-law Larry; niece Teri (Bryan) Jankovic; niece Michelle McConnell (Ron Kitchen); nephew Duane (Nancy) Overcash and nephew Tommy (Cherrie) Overcash and her black cat Ms. Kitty. She is also survived by many more nephews, nieces, cousins and way too many to list. Betty never met a stranger; she always made the best of friendships. She always had a kind word for anyone and everyone. Betty was a very, very beautiful and loving human being.
Services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
