Mr. Angelo J. Misuraca Jr's Obituary
Mr. Angelo J. Misuraca, Jr., 100, of St. Petersburg went home to be with the Lord, Feb 28, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Esther. He is survived by his loving family and friends who will deeply miss his wit, charm, generosity and pearls of wisdom he dispensed throughout his life.
He was a member of the Greatest Generation having flown with the 390th bomb group as a 1st Lieutenant over Germany. He was shot down, wounded, and was a POW for 17 months. He earned a purple heart for his bravery and service.
Upon moving to St. Petersburg he built and operated motels on 4th St. N. He was a builder, having started Monarch Builders, a realtor, and past President of the St. Petersburg Board of Realtors in 1972. While in office he raised thousands of dollars for PARC. He was chosen Realtor of the Year in 1982 and served as director on many local, state and national associations. He was a member of MOAA and a past member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club.
Visitation will be 10am - 11am followed by funeral services at 11am Monday, March 5, 2018 at Memorial Park Funeral Home 5750 49th St. N, St. Petersburg, FL 33709. Interment will immediately follow in Memorial Park Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with military honors.
