Anastasia Sotny's Obituary
Anastasia Sotny (nee Breus), age 95, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in McKinney, Texas. She was born on August 17, 1928 in Breusivka. Ukraine and came to the United States in 1950. She moved from Cleveland, Ohio to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1979 with her husband, John. Both Anastasia and John were founding members of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church Pinellas Park where Anastasia served as Treasurer for 39 years. Anastasia enjoyed many friendships assisting with Bingo at the clubhouse in The Mainlands in Pinellas Park, Florida.
Anastasia is preceded in death by her husband, John, and her Grandson, Robert. She is survived by her son, Victor, daughter-in-law, Carol, granddaughter, Caryn, grandson, Michael, and her great grandchildren, Caitlin and Zachary.
Anastasia was loved by many friends and will be missed by all, especially by her family with whom she lived in Allen, Texas.
A graveside service and interment will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida.
