Mrs. Ana Esther Ferrer-Kuilan's Obituary
Ana Esther Ferrer-Kuilan (Anita), age 75, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 17th, 2017 in her Pinellas Park, FL home. Born July 3rd, 1942 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Felipe Ferrer and Marcelina Kuilan. Anita worked as a data entry operator for the Puerto Rican labor department, and later as a youth counselor for the Jardines De Monte Hatillo Elementary School. She married Juan Diaz Castro (Junior) on Nov. 19th 1966 and had three daughters, Astrid Carrasquillo and her twins, Veronica Rowe and Monica Ferraez. Anita had seven grandchildren; Jaynie Joann Alexander, Ashley Jayline Ortiz-Diaz, Kimberly Ana Ortiz-Diaz, Shakira Marie Rowe, Xiomara Yvette Rowe, Giovany Andres Rowe and Alejandro Samuel Carrasquillo. Her sons in law, who she considered and loved as sons, are Pedro Carrasquillo, Efrain Ferraez, Ben Rowe III and Jay Ortiz. In 1991, Anita migrated to Florida and spent most of her life thereafter as a homemaker, raising her grandchildren. She was an active member of the Puerta De Salvacion church, where she held several positions and was considered family. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: spending time with family and chatting with friends. Anita is survived by her aunt, Delia Ferrer, brothers, sister, nephews, nieces and cousins. On Friday, July 28th, 2017, family, friends and those whose lives were touched by Anita, are invited to the Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 5750 49th St. N., St. Petersburg, FL, 33709, to reminisce, grieve and support each other. Service will begin at 11 o’clock that morning.
