Alice Faye Murdock's Obituary
Alice Faye Murdock age 78 of Keneth City, FL died on January 2nd, 2025.
Alice was born in War, West Virginia on August 23, 1946. She lived most of her life in Carteret and Fords, New Jersey. Alice was a graduate of Carteret High School, Class of 1964. Alice worked as a beautician her entire life. She worked at Mason Martha, Arion Salon 57, and at her own beauty salon Uptown Hair Stylist in Fords, New Jersey. In 1998, she relocated with her husband Dennis to Kenneth City, Florida where she ended her long career working at Fantastic Sams. Alice was predeceased by her parents Louie and Goldie Shovey, her brother Earl Shovey, and a sister Julia Legeny. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dennis Murdock originally from Perth Amboy, New Jersey. She is survived by her two sons. David
Murdock and his wife Marisa Murdock of North Brunswick, New Jersey. James Murdock and his companion Jenna Dobson of Kenneth City, FL. She is survived by her brother Louie Shovey Jr. of Carteret, NJ. Brother
Bobby Shovey and companion Doris of Pinellas Park, FL. Sister Barbara
Linkletter of Rahway, N.J. She is also survived by four grand children Dylan, Joshua, Kylie, and Zack
& many nieces and nephews. Cremation will be private on Monday January 6, 2025 at Memorial Park
Funeral Home and Cemetery. Public services will be at a later date and burial will eventually be at the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge, N.J. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children’s Research
