Alberta Roberts King's Obituary
King, Alberta Roberts, 91, journeyed to Heaven on November 27, 2013. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 72 years, Grant King, and three sisters Agnes Scott, Dorothy Brooker and Edith Bartholomew. She is survived by her daughter Marlene (Henry) Warner, son Philip King; three grandchildren Robyn (William) Royall, Charisma (Robert) Marin, Dallas King and five great-grandchildren, Chase Royall, Michael Marin, Ryan Marin, Jacob Marin and Zoey King. She and her husband moved to St. Petersburg after retiring from their dairy farm in Sharon Spring, NY. Alberta was very active in New York State regarding dairy farming. In 1939, she was New York Dairy Maiden winning a trip to the New York World's Fair that year. She was a delegate for Eastern Milk Producers for over 20 years, served as Assistant Dairy Superintendent at the Eastern States Exposition and was a member of the Brown Swiss Association. Alberta was a lifetime member of Dairy Shrine. Alberta will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but will live on in their hearts and memories. Services will be held in New York at a later date.
