Albert Henderson's Obituary
Albert Henderson 97, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away October 16, 2023, at Pacifica Senior Living Belleair. Albert was born in New York City, NY March 21, 1926, to the late Albert Henderson and Mary E. Crawford Henderson.
Albert was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Jo Ann Henderson.
He is survived by his step-son, David Barnes (Carna) of Seminole, FL and step daughter, Jennifer Rady (Dennis) of Inverness, FL; three step-grandchildren, Courtney Boerker (Keith) of Pinellas Park, FL, Joshua Barnes (Christina) of St. Petersburg, Fl, and Callie Morrison (Jess) of Seminole, FL; and five step-great grandchildren, Carson and Katherine Boerker, Lola Barnes, and Mia and Aspen Morrison.
He graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1945 and later the University of Florida. He was a veteran of the United State Army during the World War II Era. He retired as a Postman after 33 years of service with the United States Postal Service. He was a long-time member and deacon of First Baptist Church of St.
Petersburg, FL.
Albert was an avid bowler, competing in many local tournaments. He loved golf and traveling. He and Jo Ann were season ticket holders for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for many years and they also enjoyed watching the Tampa Bay Rays.
Family will receive guests October 26, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. -12:30 p.m., with the service to follow at 12:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg, 1900 Gandy Blvd. North, St. Petersburg, FL. Albert will be interred at Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
