Kathleen and Nichole,
Al was a great friend to me. We served in the Army together and were roommates for 4 years. Nichole he was constantly talking about you and I finally got to meet you when he brought you to Hawaii for a visit. He really loved you. Kathleen, I met you when Al brought you to my house in Georgia. I knew then that you were a great match. Al and I lost touch for many years and I found out about his death through the internet. I am so sorry for your loss. Al was a great man.

I can hardly believe God called you home so soon. Some of my best memories have been all of us growing up together in New Orleans. Every Sunday was family day. I also enjoyed the visits you, Kathleen and Patrick made to Az. Our times in Laughlin and Las Vegas. And the hospitality you always showed me when I visited Fl. I could write a book about all the fun we had. RIP my cuz till we meet again. Kathleen and Patrick, I love you guys and pray that God will help you through this difficult time. I am also praying for Aunt Peggy and Dennis.....

Kathy, I remember how intimidated I was by Al when I first began working with the two of you at Shoney's office. Al had such a commanding presence and completely filled a room when he entered. It wasn't long, however, until i learned that despite his tougher-than-nails exterior, he was just a big teddy bear. You and I have been friends for so long, and even thought we're miles apart, you are always close in my heart. It is said that each of us is a sum total of all those who have touched our lives and our hearts. You and Al are a part of me now and forever. I love you. May the Lord give both you and Patrick peace and comfort in the coming days.
