Alan Lee Reeger's Obituary
Alan Lee Reeger, 74, was born on January 6, 1947 in Cleveland, OH to Ralph Louis Reeger Sr. and Laura Jane (Mason) Reeger and passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021. He is survived by daughter Laura Reeger and granddaughter Peyton Sheridan; brother and sister-in-law Ralph “Bud” Louis Reeger Jr and Judy; niece Kimberly Reeger and nephew Todd Reeger. Alan relocated to St. Petersburg, FL at the age of 9 with his family. He graduated from Northeast High School, Class of 1965. US Navy Reserve Petty Officer 2nd Class, he was assigned to the USS Askara (ARL-30) as a supply clerk and served in the Vietnam War. He attended St. Petersburg Junior College. He started working at GTE/Verizon as Telecommunications Specialist, Special Services/INM. Alan received the White House Communications Agency Certificate of Appreciation. He retired after 41 years. Alan was a Mason member of Pinellas Daylight Lodge. After retirement, he helped raise his granddaughter Peyton. He was a huge Florida Gator fan and loved watching NASCAR.
