Aketha Baker's Obituary
Aketha Baker was born in Gary, Indiana to Dorothy Bell and Joe Eddie Baker on July 20, 1974. She graduated from Emerson Visual and Performing Arts School in 1993. Afterwards, she attended Clayton State University and earned her Bachelor’s in Administration. Then, she later earned her Masters from Phoenix. Aketha worked at Kindred and met many people with whom she called her friends, and eventually her family.
Aketha had a magnetic energy, that made everyone she encountered gravitate towards her. Her laugh was infectious, and her heart was pure. So much so, she was loved by everyone who crossed her path. People came to her in their time of need just to hear her words of encouragement. Aketha was a spiritual person, a woman of God, sister, aunt, friend, confidant, and to say she will truly be missed is an understatement.
Aketha Baker is preceded in death by Dorothy Bell (mother), Joe Eddie Baker (father), Annie Mae Emery (grandmother), Curtis Bell (brother), Dorothy Baker (aunt).
Aketha Baker is survived by Salathia Bell (sister), Theodore (Chastity) Brown (cousin), Ronnie (Roxanne) Brown (uncle), Corey Weatherspoon (nephew), Sabrionna bell (niece), Teonne Curtis (nephew), Indeia Hobson (niece), William Hobson (nephew), Derrick Jones Jr. (great-nephew), Sakethia Jones (great-niece), Taniyah Weatherspoon (great-niece), Tory Weatherspoon (great- niece), Corey Weatherspoon Jr. (great-nephew), Lyric Swain (great-niece), Nayla Swain (great-niece), Shenard Griffin (great-nephew), Antaliya Woodard (great-niece), Annalise Woodard (great-niece), Liam Bell (great-nephew), Laki Bell (great-nephew), Aspen Walters (great-niece), Charm Walters (great-niece), Jayceon Curtis (great nephew), and Jaylen Jones (great-great nephew).
