In Loving Memory of A Van Tran (1968 – 2026)
A Van Tran passed away peacefully and comfortably on July 17, 2026 at 6:20PM, surrounded by his loved ones. Van was born on February 1, 1968, in Da Nang, Vietnam to Susan Tran Nguyen and Chau Van Tran. He lived in St. Petersburg, Florida where he dreamt of living. Van lived a life by joy, family, perseverance, and living each day with greatness, creating himself a legacy.
Many knew Van for his hard work, his handy mechanic and crafty DIY projects, his laughter and unserious silly side, the love he has for his family, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. Van has faced many challenges in his lifetime, but he never ceased to rise to the occasion.
Van was a beloved husband to Kelly and a beloved father to Phillip, Crystallina, Jonathan (Chi), Catheryne, Kristina (Vincent), and Keeza; A proud brother of Pierre (Michelle), Isabella (David), Phi (Lynn), and Tien (Mickey); An uncle to many loved nieces and nephews; A beloved grandfather to Cali, Silvie, Olive, Kendall, and Kennedy; And a friend to all. Always sharing his unwavering love, laughter, and light to those he loved and the world around him, Van’s joyous spirit will always be remembered and remain in our hearts.
A funeral service will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on July 24, 2026, at 9:00AM, followed by a cremation at 12:00PM. Van’s family requests that sympathy flowers or floral tributes are preferred to be in white, red, and/or yellow. Please know that flowers are completely optional, and in lieu of flowers, share a memory you have with or of Van to continue his legacy.
