Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers. Bennie was at Tyrone Middle School during my teaching years there. She was always the one to go to if you needed any kind of help. Her smiling face meant so much and she always had the right answer for what you asked.
She was special in so many ways to all of us.

Bennie was the smiling, all knowing face in the sixth grade house. Students were “well managed” by Mrs.Mullins when no one else could, as they waited to "face their fate" from their administrator or counselor. Good students were always happy to take messages to the sixth grade house because they “got to see Mrs. Mullins.” I made a point of seeing her at least once, but usually many times in a day. She was great at listening to my many hair brain ideas even before they were mentioned to administrators. Her love for her own family was expressed often and proudly. Mrs Mullins was always so sweet and kind. She definitely had a lot of love in her heart.
So sorry to read of the passing of Bennie in today's paper. She was my 8th grade clerk for many years at Tyrone. We had a wonderful relationship and her humor and caring attitude helped make each day a good one. Jean Lanier
