As the daughter of Albert Tatham "Bert" and Dad and also "daddy's girl"; I had the opportunity to be his part-time caretaker for these past 3 yrs and I do not regret that; I will not miss the grief we all went thru, however I will miss dearly the man he was before all this began.
My dad taught me so much in life and in business, I looked up to him for his work ethics and humor, we had lots of fun moments, here and afar. He was a prideful man, kind and truthful. We enjoyed biking, snowmobiling, walking in nature with the dogs and he also loved his cat(s) etc.
I will miss the morning bowls of cereal or oatmeal we had back in the day and still what I fed him till he became sicker. I looked out for him as he would and did for me. I miss his laugh and the times he would ask "can I get a hair cut?" or on my birthday "you know how long I have known you?" lol "yes dad ___yrs", I am a lot like my dad and I will cherish these memories I have of him and hold them close.
His love for animals through the years was contagious as well, as I would bring home several strays in my life and his time of volunteering at the Hope Shelter up in Michigan was a blessing for him, it kept him busy beyond house duties and he was around what he loved.
I will see him again and we will laugh and walk again. R.I.P Dad I love you to the moon and back.
Linda
