William "Bill" E. Anderson
June 18, 1934 - August 5, 2021
William ( Bill ) Edward Anderson was born to Reverend George and Reverend Esther Anderson in Crawfordsville Indiana. He was the second child and Ruth Esther was his sister. He grew up in a hard working ministers family. They moved from church to church in Indiana until they landed in Marion Indiana when he turned 18. A large GM plant was being built and he joined the work force as a die maker. At the same time he went into the Army ( Fort Bliss ). He married his wife Willene Adams and off they went to El Paso Texas for 2 years. Then back to Marion to start work at Fisher Body and become part of the UAW 1977. Anita Ruth was born and soon after Mark Edward. Bill loved cars. He had many Hudsons and American Motors vehicles. Owned a car he sponsored at Anderson Speedway. Bill also loved gospel music and blue grass music. He retired and moved to Florida to be near his mother and sister. He was very active in the church. He would always get up early to open the church and make the coffee. He will be missed by the Chassahowitzka Christian church. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Memorial Park Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery at 11:30 AM.
