After retiring from JC Pennys, Judy took on the role of daycare provider for her grandchildren. Being a grandmother (and later a great-grandmother) was the joy of her life. Judy loved to bake, providing Christmas cookies and desserts for dozens of friends and family each year. Daughter of science fiction writer Arthur Wilson Tucker and his wife Mary Jane Joesting, she also loved to read. Judy traveled extensively with her husband Dave; she saw most of the US states, including Alaska and Hawaii. Her great passion was Chicago Cubs baseball; she never missed a game. Judy will be remembered for her dry humor, her love of all things Christmas, her generosity, and her peanut butter cookies. A private family gathering will be held in her honor.
