Eddie was my brother and my Best Friend. I am so proud to have been his sister. He was able to be successful at what he loved. Barbie and Eddie were always there for me and I always did my best to be there for them.I will always cherish the time we had.
He will be greatly missed and never replaced, for those who know, know.
My brother was a man of high character, and was a character in and of himself. He had an opinion on everything and he always made you smile when he shared it with you. The brother I will always remember though is the one I saw the last 2 1/2 months when our mom was in the hospital and I would find him down there, by her side at all hours of the day. His concern for her well being touched me so very deeply that my respect and love for him grew to no bounds. He tried to come off as the tough guy but he was just a big teddy bear. The last time I saw him, Karen had Caleb were there and he took Caleb to the window to watch the helicopter land on the roof and was explaining to a 2 year old how and why it was landing. Then later, when we left together, he walked down the hall with Caleb's hand almost skipping to the elevator. I love you Eddy and pray that God's grace covers you and our family. Your absence will be felt for a long time. See you soon!!!!
Eddie was the type of man who would give you the shirt off his back. He will be missed so much. Eddie would tell you straight up how it is whether you liked it or not. Thanks for all the help you gave John during his racing days. Enjoyed all the fun times. Barbie & Family you will be in our thoughts & prayers.
My Uncle Eddie was bear of a man, but had a kind heart. He was always there for me when I needed him and never complained. I hope someway, he knows how much he meant to us. His tell-it-like-it-is nature is one thing I admire about him. I could always count on Uncle Eddie to make me smile with a wisecrack. It is still strange that this event has occurred, but I believe there is a "higher purpose" for him. I pray for my Aunt Barbie and their children everyday, and hope that when they read these, they carry the joy he brought to our lives with them and see how many people were touched. I miss you everyday, and will always love you Uncle Eddie. I can't wait to see you again. -Your nephew, Dave Jr.
I will always remember the dune buggy rides when I was a child and the way he would poke fun at the ridiculous things our family would do or say. If he was at a family gathering, then I knew I would be made fun of. Somehow I found comfort in that. I love you always Uncle Eddie.
