Delores M Edman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Delores Marie Edman, 88, went from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 5, 2022. She was born in Minneapolis to the late Howard and Evelyn (Bechtold) Grunewald and has made her home in St Petersburg since 1967. She is survived by daughters, Linnea (Edman) Williams, Sandra (Terry) Sustar, Sharon (Walter, Jr. ‘Skip’) Clemons, Debra (Curt) Keith, along with 15 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by their infant daughter, Susan. She married Stanley Edman in 1952 and he preceded her in death. She will be missed, but fondly remembered for her unique laugh, breathy voice, and welcoming hugs. Her home has been a gathering place for the grandchildren along with making memories with their cousins. Her favorite pastimes were cheering on her beloved Tampa Bay Rays, ocean cruises, and going out to eat. We take comfort in knowing we’ll see her again, we know she is whole and at peace in the presence of Jesus, her Lord and Savior. Her desire was that everyone would know the security and joy of having Jesus as their personal Savior and Friend. “Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind.” Romans 12:2 There will be a time of celebrating her life and visitation for family and friends on Saturday, March 19th, from 3pm to 5pm at Gateway Christian Center, 6740 Park St S, South Pasadena. Private interment will take place at a later date. Her love for children also gave her a heart for those in Haiti; in lieu of flowers the family would appreciate your memorial donation towards her favorite non-profit, Love a Child at www.loveachild.com.
