I knew Chris my whole life. We grew up as next-door neighbors in Iowa. Some of my earliest memories were playing together as young kids. We went our separate ways as adults but did re-connect in Chicago after Chris gave me a tip on a job lead where he was employed. We were also roommates for awhile in the late 1990s. We both endured our share of hardships over the years, but managed to survive those ordeals. Chris was a great artist and I always encouraged him to pursue his talent. It is sad to lose someone whom I've known for so long. The last time I talked with Chris was about six weeks ago, when my father died. Over the phone, Chris told me it felt like he lost a member of his own family. I feel the same way. Peace. Don Muret

Chris has a bright spirit and very welcoming energy! He was only at MOSI for a few months, but his kindness, humor and talent made an impact! All of us at the museum are blessed to have gotten a chance to know him and thankful that he had a chance to leave a little bit of himself here with us.
