Charles Andrew Horn, 92 passed peacefully on June 30, 2021, in St. Petersburg, FL He was born on March 25,1929 in Chicago, IL. He was the baby in the family to 3 older sisters. Everyone loved, “Sonny Boy!” Chuck was a Korean War Veteran and a retired St. Petersburg Fire Lieutenant. He also owned many businesses in St. Petersburg. A trampoline center, where Olympic hopefuls trained, a restaurant- “Café Petite”, and “It’s About Time Antiques” just to name a few. It was while he was a fire fighter that he met his “bride” Ethel Lou Horn. She was the love of his life, and they were happily married for 48 years. He was predeceased by his parents, his 3 sisters and one son-Rick Horn. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 5 children- Kenny Alderman, Steve Alderman, Kathy Mitcheson (George), Margie DuVal and Barbie Wade, a nephew Chuck Lostroscio (Jahala), 14 grandchildren-Kimberly, Misty, JR, Amber, Brittany, Jenna, Marcus, Andrew, Matthew, Benjamin, Cache’, Chloe, Ciara, and Lil Benny. 9 great grandchildren-Mackenzie, Autumn, Andrew, McCoy, Campbell, Brooks, Everett, Darlene and Alisia. Two more great grands are on the way too. Chuck enjoyed collecting antique clocks and restoring them, traveling and big family gatherings where he would tell us stories of growing up on the south side of Chicago and all the troubles he got into. He also loved Jesus (his boss), and his church, Sacred Heart. He would want to be remembered for his devotion to his loving wife, his generosity, kind heart, and for helping others in need. Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 4661 82nd Ave. N Pinellas Park, FL 33781 at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 10, 2021, mass followed by a reception in the church hall. Masks are requested during the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to “His Heart Society-Sacred Heart”-our food pantry.
