Elizabeth & Arthur Smith, St. Pete were lucky to have met Ronnie and wife Peggy more than 10 years ago at McDonalds on Gulf Blvd. Both were wonderful people to know and Ronnie was pretty heart-broken when Peggy passed. We did come to pay our respects when that happened.
Unfortunately we were out of the country for 3 weeks in mid-July then had company from Canada so did not get to connect with Ronnie. We made an attempt to find him in Terre Verde but did not quite have the correct address.
Once we got that we went to the Building and left a note with who we thought was a good friend on the 5th floor. No-one home but made sure someone would find the note. Quite by chance we had also enquired at a Restaurant where Ronnie & Peggy would go for brekkies, lunch or dinner and when I asked to speak to the Manager, he said he knew both Ronnie & Peggy well but had not seen Ronnie for a few weeks. That Manager was contacted by a friend or family to let him know that Ronnie had had a stroke and had passed. We have lost a very good friend.
If anyone would like to get in touch with us we would be happy to pay tribute to Ronnie in some form appropriate to the family.
