I was a United States Marine Second Lt. in the Basic School Class 8-1969 when Lt. Loc was also a Lt and was the Foreign Military Trainee assigned to me. He was a fine student and officer that had the respect of everyone in our class. We lost touch as we both went to Vietnam. As we are preparing for the 50th reunion of our Basic School Class in June of 2019, we started tracking down all those who were in our class and another of our classmates sent me the sad news of Lt. Loc's passing. I wanted all of his family to know that the US Marines he served with held him in the highest regards and also that I benefited greatly from my association with him during our training. With great respect and admiration, Major General Arnold L. Punaro, United States Marine Corps retired. [email protected]
