My Dearest Mom; Thank you for giving me life, and a wonderful family. I am your only biological daughter, though you have many 'adopted' dauthters and sons because of your thoughtfulness and caring ways. I pray that we can continue to keep your "family and spiritual ways" and honor the legacy you left us. YOURS WILL BE BIG SHOES TO FILL! Thanks for keeping us, (ALL of YOUR 'FAMILY') and your MANY friends, ours included, in your loving embraces; from the breakfast meals you knew we needed to get through a days work, down to your wonderful peanut brittle! Surely you heard the testimonials at the viewing as well as in church regarding your love for life and people; especially your peanut brittle that was a frequent mention. You have been my Mom, my buddy, my sounding board and friend for my whole life, more so these last years. Although you were given many challenges and obstacles the past 15 years, with one little exception after we were advised there was nothing that could be done about your partial loss of sight, you NEVER gave up, you just compensated with your other senses and talents! Many have told me how fortunate l they are to have been touched and blessed with your kindness, your beliefs in your faith, the gentleness of your words and love in your heart; whether just a brief encounter, or a friendship for life. How PROUD I am to hear those words! But alas, sad I am that you are gone from your earthly body. You are free of any pain, can see the beautiful colors of GODS great world again, you can hear the waves of Pas-a-Grille, your most favorite beach, the birds singing, and the gentle wind blowing. But most of all this freedom allows you the pleasure of seeing his face and hearing your beloved Poppy as he tells you how he has longed for you these past 15 years. He knew you had a mission on earth and your work was not done yet, for you see, GOD told him so. There is not a doubt in anyones mind and heart, that you would not spend even a short minute in Pergatory before climbing the steps to the Gates of Heaven, first being met by Jesus and then Pop. I know that you told him for me "I love you Poppy". I tell you now how much I love and miss you both! You now have each other and your circle is complete. You have danced the polkas and waltzes with Pop and you are not gone but five days. As I told you on that fateful Friday night with a heavy heart: It is OK to go, you fought strong and longer than most thought you could. But not us. We knew you would. Dear Mom of mine, remember these words I borrow from E.T.: "I'll be right here" with my hand to your heart and yours to mine, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART and I IN YOURS. You are at peace now and I am truly happy for you and Pop. I love you Mom and will see both of you when my time arrives. Go with God. Debbie Aucoin (St Petersburg, FL)
