Remembering "Our Superman" today.....Just as sand slips through our fingers and in a blink of an eye, one year blurs to two, then three, now four and we all grow older, but you Jason will remain forever young. Your Beacon of Light will continue to shine brightly with in our hearts and with all those who knew and loved you, until the end of time.

It's been two years but the pain of losing you becomes even stronger. I was so fortunate to have been your mother. When you gave the speech at your medical school graduation you said life was a constant opportunity to learn, experience and excel. That is exactly how you viewed life from a very young age. No challenge was too big, no goal was unreachable and no obstacle no matter how big would prevent you from moving forward. Sometimes when I would be so worried or stressed out about something that you were dealing with you would tell me "Mom, I have to play the hand I'm dealt but don't worry I'll turn it into a winning hand." When diagnosed with diabetes at 6 years old you once asked as we passed a cemetery if you would end up there. Maybe that is the reason you cherished every part of life. One of your many friends once told me "you could drop Jason Bottoms into any room filled with people whether it was social or business and Jason would be the only person everyone would remember". You were a star on life's stage. You are a beacon of light that still shines even though you are no longer with us. You will live in our hearts forever. As your mother I can only aspire to live the rest of my life the way you lived yours. Every day it seems impossible to believe you are not here. It makes me want to give up but I know my son Dr. Jason Bottoms never gave up on anything. For him every day was an unopened gift to open and explore.
I just learned of Jason's passing this weekend. I met Jason 3 years ago and also was a patient of his. I was saddened to hear of his death. I learned of his passing from my father who saw his memorial tribute in the newspaper. My heart goes out to his girlfriend Jessica and his family. Jason was truly a nice guy and a great doctor. I am sorry I did not know sooner to come to the funeral. God bless.
My heart goes out to his family. I did not know that he was a Superman fan. My son is also and has a gold necklace with the superman emblem on it. I will never forget his kind manner and wonderful personality. My surgery on my foot was Feb.20, 2012 and to think only a month later he passed. I'm sure he is one of God's greatest angels.
Rest in peace Dr. Bottoms.
Remembering Jason today... "Our Superman"... one year has passed since we lost this extraordinary man. Your beacon of light continues to shine brightly within our hearts. Missing you always. "For every person who has ever lived there has come, at last, a spring he will never see. Glory then in the springs that are yours." ~~Australian poet, Pam Brown~~
What an inspiring tribute written by Jason's Mom on the front page of this memorial. Our hearts go out to all of you during a most difficult time. We wish you love, healing and prayer. Sharon & David Epperson
