My dad, Rich Liston who is Donnie’s older brother told me this story today… He said one time they went to Klamm Park in KCK and crashed a church picnic (they did not attend the church) they ate food played games and joined in a pie eating contest....well guess who won the contest , yep Uncle Donnie!! 😀 🥧
Creative, Funny, Passionate, Caring are just a few adjectives that remind me of Don. When you least expect it he’d always surprise you! I am so thankful to have had him in my life! He had so many talents – writing, fruit carving, wood carving, watch repair and jewelry making to name a few. Christmas was his favorite holiday. His lists were always known – he’d start in January reminding us. One year he wanted a hippopotamus couch he saw in a magazine. We couldn’t afford this gift but friend Barb did make him a large hippo pillow which he loved. I forever will miss you and will hold all of our memories close my heart. I rejoice that you are now pain free and surrounded by those gone before you.
Don was a very special person. He always saw the humor in everything. That was a miracle in itself considering what he'd been through. Don could fix or repair anything and was always willing to help those in need at the drop of a hat. He was a blessing to us all, and I'm sure Bob welcomed him with open arms---he now has his partner for doinoes. Rest in Peace, Don.
